What is BIMI?
Brand Indicators for Message Identification lets mailbox providers show your logo next to authenticated mail. You publish a TXT record at <selector>._bimi.<domain> that points to an SVG logo and, usually, a certificate.
Do I need a certificate?
Some mailbox providers only display the logo when a Verified Mark Certificate or Common Mark Certificate is attached via the a= tag. Others may show it without one. Check the current requirements of the providers you care about.
What else does BIMI need?
A DMARC policy enforced at quarantine or reject, with the policy applying to all mail. This tool builds the record and checks the logo file; it does not look up your DMARC record. Use the SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker for that.
Does the file I pick get uploaded?
No. The SVG is read in your browser and checked locally.
