Testing vs. production sending
Can I still use Mailtrap for testing?+
Yes. Mailtrap's sandbox and Envello's production API serve different purposes. Use Mailtrap in dev/staging to catch emails before they go out, and Envello in production for actual transactional sends. Many teams run both.
How does Envello handle email testing?+
Envello has a built-in test mode: sends are validated and logged but not delivered to real inboxes. You get the same API response shape and webhook events without burning sending quota or reaching real recipients.
What log retention does Envello offer?+
Free tier: 7 days. Pro: 90 days. Scale: configurable from 7 to 365 days. Every event (delivered, bounced, opened, clicked, complained) is queryable in the dashboard and via API for the full retention window.
